If you want to enrol on any of the Australian courses go to U3A Online Inc. and enrol directly on their site. They have a varied range of courses available. Some courses are NOT suitable for beginners, and are marked as such below.
Frameworks - instant access, free study materialHere are some materials/links which could provide sufficient interest for an individual, or a self-help group, to study for some weeks. These materials were all produced by U3A members and can be used freely:Development of lighthouses framework Wartime history/ Reminiscence/ Oral history/ LanguagesThese fascinating personal accounts of wartime experiences as children from around the world offer a wealth of interest and information. They have been collected by Tom Holloway (Warwick U3A) and can be found at http://timewitnesses.orgThe section on 'evacuees' is now being greatly extended. As the accounts are available in French and German, as well as translated into English, they would make relevant material for Language groups too.
